The Liberian-flagged vessel Yong Wan has departed from the Haitian Terminal of the Xiamen Free Trade Zone, loaded with food, clothing, and daily necessities, marking the official launch of a new direct shipping route from Xiamen Port to Indonesia.
The new route provides a highly efficient and convenient trade link between South China and Southeast Asian markets.
Operating on a twice-weekly schedule, the route connects the ports of Yantian, Xiamen, Nansha, Jakarta, and Surabaya along the way. From Xiamen Port, it takes just seven days to reach Jakarta and nine days to arrive in Surabaya — making it the fastest shipping connection currently available from Xiamen to Indonesia.
By calling directly at Jakarta and Surabaya, Indonesia's two major ports, the new route significantly cuts logistics times. It offers a new export channel for Fujian and nearby regions for food, apparel, and daily consumer goods — helping to strengthen regional industrial and supply chain cooperation.
