The 4th Taiyanggou Colored Leaves Festival opened in Dalian, Northeast China's Liaoning province on Sept 19, with a focus on culture and creativity.

The event is being held with the aim of promoting Taiyanggou district and to put Dalian on the map as a center for culture, according to the organizers.  

Numerous exciting activities will take place during the event, including the premiere of the movie Romantic City, the launch of the "City Bookroom" initiative and an art exhibition featuring drawings of the local area.

Romantic City is a feature film about the struggles of young people in modern China. The movie was mostly shot around the Lushun Taiyanggou block. The production is the work of Dalian Art Creation University Union and Taiyanggou Cultural Industrial Park, and it was produced by Luxun Academy of Fine Arts Media Animation College. 

This year's festival is being sponsored by the management committee of Taiyanggou Cultural Industry Park in Lushun district.
