Seafood festival set to be a catch

Lushunkou district in Dalian city played host to the 4th Seafood Festival & Chinese Cooking Skills Show on Sept 26.
With a theme of "Enjoy Fresh, Beautiful Lushun", the event was held to celebrate the annual catch and to promote the seafood industry.
A series of activities are due to be held at the festival, which will continue until Oct 7, including a cooking show, cooking contest, lecture, food exhibition, and sale, as well as a folk art performance.
A tasting session will also take place for visitors to the event, where they will be able to taste food made by local restaurants.
Lushunkou, which faces the Yellow Sea to the east and the Bohai Sea to the west, is famous for its traditional seafood and unique local culture. This year's festival was organized by the local district in order to encourage local residents to make healthy food choices and to promote the "Lushun Food" brand.
