Longyin Spring is located to the west of the Sanbali village in Shuishiying sub-district. It is inside the Jiguan Mountain Scenic Area and occupies 148,000 square meters.

Longyin Spring is an exposed groundwater spring. The spring water is clear and sweet. In 1879, the government of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) decided to strengthen defense in Lushunkou. In 1880, construction of a gun battery, naval port, and ship dock began. To provide water for the navy, 6,180 meters of cast iron pipe and 728 meters of stone tunnels were constructed in 1888 from Longyin Spring to Lushunkou Reservoir. The total investment was 36,537 liang (a unit of weight) of silver. The daily water supply quantity is 1,500 cubic meters, supplying a population of 20,000. The foundation of a complete water supply system makes Lushunkou one of the first cities in China to use modern tap water. At the same time, the government of the Qing Dynasty also built the Lushunkou Port which served the Beiyang Fleet and part of the Lushun population. In recent years, this underground water resource is being exhausted, leading to the drying up of Longyin Spring.

Longyin Spring is a garden-style tap water supply works. There are more than 12,000 trees of various types in the park and a Qing Dynasty stone monument with the inscription of “Long Yin Spring”. The monument is 1.4 meters high, 0.51 meters wide and 0.16 meters thick. Built in 1888, the monument gives an account of the cause and process of the Longyin Spring exploitation. This has significant academic value in studying the history of tap water in China. There are also fruit trees, flower beds, pergolas, and pavilions. There are many tall pines and cypresses, brightly blooming flowers, lots of pagoda trees and fruit trees, making it an excellent tourism destination.
