Hill 203 is located at Shiban Bridge in the new urban area of Lushunkou. It is a national forest park and provincially protected relic site. The name Hill 203 comes from its elevation, which is 203 meters. This was the main battlefield along the western Lushunkou battle line during the Russian-Japanese War. Old cannons, trenches and monuments are still well-preserved in the hill. The area is dense with vegetation, and the air is clean. An area of 33,000 square meters of cherry forest covers the foot of the hill, and the annual International Cherry Blossom Festival is held here. The area also includes the Laohu Valley Monument, a stone monument in memory of Nogi Yasunori, Erlingshan Tower, a heavy artillery observation site, a Russian heavy artillery position, and the Hill 203 museum.

The Erlingshan Tower and cherry blossom park are the scenic spots of the area. After the Russian-Japanese War, Nogi Maresuke, Commander of the Japanese Third Army, named this hill "Erlingshan", which is a homonym of 203 (in Chinese). The 10.3 meter high tower is in the shape of a Japanese rifle bullet. Its body is made of metal from artillery shells and abandoned weapons which were found in the mountain by the Japanese army after the war.

The cherry park occupies 33,000 sq m and is home to more than 3,000 cherry trees of 18 varieties including Chinese cherry, yae cherry, and wild cherry. Every spring, the blooming flowers make it a perfect place for hiking. This is also the site of the annual International Cherry Blossom Festival, a cultural event for locals and domestic and international tourists.
