Established in Sept 2007, Dalian Qiqihar Railway Rolling Stock Co Ltd (Dalian QRRS) is a third tier subsidiary of China CNR Corporation Limited which is supervised by China's State Council. Dalian QRRS is also the railway wagon export assembling base of Qiqihar Railway Rolling Stock Co Ltd, the leading domestic enterprise in the field of railway wagon and cranes design and manufacturing. Qiqihar Railway Rolling Stock Co Ltd is leading development of railway wagon production in China and has taken almost a quarter of that market. 

Dalian QRRS covers an area of 200,000 square meters, with 36,000 square meters being an assembly area. It produces 2,000 new wagons every year, such as the C70 open-top wagon, the NX70A universal flat wagon, and the GQ70 light oil tank wagon. It also produces wagons for export including the Australian ore wagon and the Australian grain hopper. The fixed assets of the company are valued at 160 million yuan and in part consist of 348 sets of various devices. In addition to having the leading technological equipment in the country, the company has imported several internationally advanced automatic production lines and applied the concept of lean manufacturing to overall process layout. Operating according to the principle of "Assembling Flexibly, Welding Automatically and Detecting Intelligently", and the aim of "High Efficiency, High Quality and Low Cost", the company strives to reach an internationally advanced standard.

The company has won many honors, such as a May 1st Labor Merit Certificate, and been named a Model Enterprise with Harmonious Labor Relations by Dalian city, an Outstanding Party Organization Unit by China CNR Corporation Limited, and an Advanced Unit of Qiqihar Railway Rolling Stock Co Ltd by the government of Lushunkou District .
