Dalian Huanyou Canned Pump Co Ltd (originally known as Dalian Canned Motor Pump Factory) is located at Port Arthur, which is a naval port city at the southernmost point of the Liaodong peninsula.

Dalian Canned Motor Pump Factory was founded in 1958 and started producing canned electric pumps in 1974. The factory imported production technology and equipment from TEIKOKU Electric MFG. CO LTD and established and improved a complete set of advanced designs and production and test systems of canned electric pumps in 1985. In Jan 1995, the factory cooperated with TEIKOKU Electric MFG. CO LTD in a joint venture and founded Dalian TEIKOKU Canned Motor Pump CO LTD. In Jan 2002, Dalian Canned Motor Pump Factory ended the joint venture with its Japanese partner, transferred equity assets, reserved technology share ownership and regained its identity as Dalian Canned Motor Pump Factory, continuing to develop in the domestic market. In 2002, after putting in place a set of scientific and regulative management rules, it passed the IS9001; in 2003, it took the lead in developing the 160KW canned motor pump which had the most power at that time. In 2005 it successfully developed the 200KW canned motor pump, still the most powerful in the market, as well as a cooking superheat-resisting canned motor pump without hydrocooling which meets the needs of many key domestic construction projects. 

In 2006, Dalian Canned Motor Pump Factory changed its name to Dalian Huanyou Canned-motor Pump Co Ltd, which later became Dalian Huanyou Canned Pump Co Ltd. The company then began to develop the Chinese canned motor pump market. In 2008, it brought in the Six Sigma Management Model which greatly improved its management standards.  

Today's Dalian Huanyou Canned Pump Co Ltd has been named a State-level High-tech Enterprise, a Dalian Paying Tax Enterprise AA Class, a Good Reputation Company of Liaoning Province, and a Dalian Advanced Unit, among other honors. Its products are sold in over 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions and some are sold abroad. Dalian Huanyou Canned Pump Co Ltd has become the most competitive company in the field of canned motor pumps in China. 

One of its noteworthy products, the canned motor pump "Huanyou", has an advanced design and is energy efficient with low noise, small size and leak-free design. Huanyou has been used in many different industries such as oil, chemicals, aerospace, medicine, spinning and refrigeration. Since 1992, Dalian Huanyou Canned Pump Co Ltd has been offering satellite launching propellant and canned motor pumps capable of orbital refueling to Xichang, Taiyuan and Jiuquan satellite launching centers. Huanyou was used on the Shenzhou 9 manned spacecraft launched on June 16th, 2012; an exciting event for all the company's personnel.
