Located in the Lushun Economic Development Zone and neighboring Lushun Newport, Tuyang Highway and Yantai-Dalian Train Ferry, Dalian Shipbuilding and Shipping Industry Co Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation and one of the main companies supported by China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. 

Founded in 2005, the company covers an area of 11,570,000 square meters and has a factory building area of 26,000 square meters. It currently has 138 employees, including 78 managerial and technical personnel.

The main businesses of the company are as follows: manufacturing of ocean engineering products including mechanical equipment and attachments, marine hatch covers, and metal structural articles; manufacturing, installing, remolding and repairing of land cranes and harbor machinery; ship manufacturing; design, manufacturing and sale of marine electronic products and engineering machinery; and related consultation and labor services. 

The company has first rate technical standards and production capacity. Its annual processing capacity is 80,000 tons of QXY and it produces 50,000 to 80,000 tons of steel processing equipment. The company has sophisticated plug welding workshops and open assembly areas as well as advanced spraying workshops and related supporting facilities. 

The company operates under Quality Management System ISO9001 and management systems OHSA18001-1999 and ISO14001-1996. Its production of marine and ocean engineering equipment is done under regulations made by classification societies around the world, such as those in China, the UK, Norway, the US and Japan.

The company focuses on three areas: the ship equipment industry including marine hatch covers, marine cranes and large-lifting land cranes and harbor machinery; mooring systems, offshore cranes, ocean engineering pressure-volume equipment; and the ocean engineering supporting equipment industry based on submarine structures and small modules. Its former single-focus industrial structure has been changed to a pluralistic industrial structure and its former manufacturing of plug weld based low-end steel structural products has been turned into production of complete sets of equipment with mechatronics and high integration density. As a result, the company has upgraded from a labor-intensive enterprise to a capital and technology intensive one. It is determined to be the world's best supplier of marine hatch covers, ocean engineering equipment and marine and land cranes.
