Lushunkou, situated at the southernmost point of Liaodong peninsula, flourishes amidst a distinctive cultural heritage. More than 100 programs have been placed under heritage preservation, including Huaban dance. Originating from the late Qing (1644-1912) dynasties, it has evolved into a popular public culture activity. The dance has been performed on stage and plazas and has become a distinctive local phenomenon.
