Expo updates R&D in advanced manufacturing tech

Cutting-edge precision parts processing technologies were presented last week at the 2018 China (Zhuhai) Advanced Manufacturing Exposition to boost R&D innovation.

Precision machining technologies had an inclusive display area at the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center from Sept 6 to 8. It was set off from the total 10,000 sq m (2.5 acres) of exhibition space to showcase applications in high-end manufacturing. Booths shared space with machine tools, automation systems, industrial robotics, intelligent equipment, and laser-cutting and welding machines.

More than 200 enterprises nationwide attended the fair. Leading the lineup were Guangzhou-based GSK CNC Equipment, Jiangmen City's Ande Laser Intelligent Equipment, and Zhuhai Golden Robot.

Accompanying events included project selection, exchange meetings on the intelligent manufacturing industry, seminars on plastic injection development, and lectures on various matters, including financing requirements to advance the Internet of Things.

The expo was sponsored by the Guangdong Machinery Industry Association and Guangdong Asia Link Exhibition Co.
