Personal cars and taxis will be charged 150 yuan ($23) to cross the soon-to-open Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the bridge authority announced Aug 23 on its WeChat account.
The Guangdong provincial government also set the tolls for cross-border coaches at 200 yuan ($31) per vehicle per trip. The fees for shuttle buses, general wagons, and container trucks were set at 300 yuan ($47), 60 yuan ($9.40), 115 yuan ($18) respectively.
An artery toll station
Only vehicles with Guangdong-Hong Kong, Hong Kong-Macao, or Hong Kong license plates (meeting the Macao quota), within the one-off quota or approved by each of the three governments will be permitted to cross.
An artery toll station is located at the bridge's main section on the west end near Zhuhai and Macao where 20 toll lanes support automatic deduction by Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) and Manual Toll Collection (MTC) systems. Tolls can also be paid using Alipay, WeChat Pay, or renminbi.
Vehicles must drive on the right in the mainland and follow route guidance to switch to the left when they arrive in Hong Kong or Macao.
