Russian aero firms on board for Zhuhai Airshow 2018

Next year's biennial China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China) attracted a large number of Russian aerospace firms at the 13th International Aviation & Space Salon MAKS 2017 in Zhukovsky City of Moscow Oblast from July 18 to 23.

As the backbone exhibitor from abroad, Russia has expanded its delegation year after year, setting a record in exhibition area at the 2016 event in Zhuhai.

According to Zhuhai delegates, large-scale firms such as Public Joint Stock Co United Aircraft Corp (PJSC UAC), Russian Weapon Company (RWC), Russian Technologies State Corp, Russian Helicopters, United Engine Corp (UEC), Sukhoi Co (JSC), and Irkut Corp have placed exhibition orders for Airshow China 2018.

The Knights aerobatic team of the Russian Air Force is likely to once again bring flying stunts using Su-30SM fighter planes.

Officials from the Municipal Bureau of Commerce and representatives of Zhuhai Airshow Co Ltd attended Russia's premier aviation event at Zhukovsky International Airport to promote next year's Airshow China.

A promotional conference was also held during the exhibition to attract partnerships with large aerospace and aviation businesses in Russia to locate facilities in Zhuhai Aviation Industrial Park of Jinwan District.

Executive Deputy Mayor of Zhuhai Wang Qingli invited Russian firms to participate in Airshow China 2018 and said he looked forward to enhanced exchanges and cooperation with Russia.

Zhukovsky and Zhuhai became sister cities in August 2012 because of frequent interactions since the first Airshow China back in 1996. Zhukovsky Mayor Andrei Voityuk said the friendship twined by the aviation sector is bound to continue.

Airshow China 2018 will be held at the Zhuhai Airshow Center from Nov 6 to 11.
