Ocean Spring offers a carnival of summertime fun

The 50-day Caribbean Carnival debuted at Ocean Spring Resort on July 8 and runs until Aug 27. The Doumen District attraction, built 11 years ago, is an internationally popular holiday site for tourists and leisure travelers. It is also one of the most comprehensive multi-functional tourist destinations in China.

Offering summer games and activities, Caribbean Water World has a 10-m high multi-course slide painted in rainbow colors. Upgrades have been made to a large wave pool, rotating air slide, bucket fountain, and mushroom-shaped running water facilities.

The carnival also offers parades, piratical flash mobs, supersized ice bucket challenges, parties, and water-sprinkling events. Acrobatic stunts and swimsuit shows are also staged.

Ocean Spring Resort has two five-star Ocean Spring Grand Metropark Hotels, Mysterious Island Theme Park, Fisherman's Wharf, Dreams Theatre, Caribbean Water World, Entertainment Center, Green Wonderland, Ice & Snow World, and Driving Test Center.

The resort reports that the first half of this year saw 1.48 million tourists and a year-on-year increase of 10 percent in sales revenue.
