Modern approach adopted to create dynamic industry

Doumen District plans to further integrate resources to boost output value at Xinqing Science & Technology Industrial Park in Jing'an Town to 100 billion yuan ($14.7 billion). 

The chief focus is on the development of industry, urban areas and traffic, the construction of major projects, full play to the overflow effects of major enterprises as Flextronics, and transformation and upgrade of the industrial park's east and west wings.

The east wing will be led by the construction of Doumen Science & Technology Town with high-end and modern service industries. The west, on the other hand, will rely on existing industries to prioritize new energy, high-end intelligent manufacturing, and hi-tech industry. The goal is to expand regional capacity and enhance efficiency.

As an important impetus of Doumen's fast and sound development, Xinqing Science & Technology Industrial Park will also promote a new-generation electronics and information industrial cluster. This will be led by Flextronics, a world-renowned electronic manufacturing service provider headquartered in Singapore. It will strive for the settlement of the company's upstream-downstream industries in Doumen and acceleration of Flextronics Town. The town will feature intelligent manufacturing in combination with the "Industry 4.0" transformation and upgrade project of Flextronics (Zhuhai) Industrial Park.

According to an official of the park administrative committee, support facilities for business and residence will reflect a high-quality waterside residential area in Western Ecological New Town. Projects such as intelligent hopsca (a new means of creating a diversified, integrated, and dynamic suburb), Huahai Pengcheng Wine Industry Co, and Le Meridien Zhuhai will contribute to the improvement of support facilities. 

Headquarters projects integrating high-end offices, residences, and shopping facilities will be developed in the East Wing High-End Service Functional Zone and create a favorable environment for both industries and their workforces, the official stated.
