Nation values Zhuhai’s protection of environment

Zhuhai is one of 19 group winners of China's esteemed Ecological Civilization Award, which was presented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection on June 5, World Environment Day.

Shen Yueyue, vice chair of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, said the award demonstrates that the central government highly values ecological conservation.

The first government award recognizing the ecological accomplishments of individuals and groups, the honor is presented by the ministry every three years.
