China Northern Locomotive & Rolling Stock Industry Corp (CNR) Zhuhai Base

China Northern Locomotive & Rolling Stock Industry Corp (CNR) Zhuhai Base was founded in 2011 with the support of China CNR. 

By introducing, digesting and absorbing 100 percent of the low floor tramcar design and manufacturing techniques of Ansaldo Breda S.p.A in Italy, it aims to become a world-class urban rail equipment manufacturing base in South China.

The planned annual general equipment production of CNR includes: 100 modern tramcars of 100 percent low-floor design, 50 urban railway vehicles, 50 intercity trains and 8,000 ground-level power supply system modules. At present, the main products include the 100 percent low-floor modern streetcar, the first catenary-free modern streetcar in China.
