斗门区黄杨山·金台寺.jpg

Jintai Temple is a model site for religious activities in Guangdong Province, and a landmark tourist attraction in Doumen District, Zhuhai.

The temple was initially constructed by Zhao Shicong (an official in the Song dynasty) (960-1279), as Jintai Vihara over 700 years ago. In the Qing dynasty (1644-1911), Zhao’s descendants built Jintai Temple which was often the residence of eminent Buddhist monks. In 1992, Jintai Temple was relocated and rebuilt at the southern side of Huangyang Mt, a site surrounded by green hills and a clear reservoir. With an endless stream of pilgrims and visitors climbing up and down, the temple is often a venue for charity events.
