Located in the Shixi Scenic Area on East Meihua Road at the foot of Fenghuang Mt, the Gu Yuan Museum is a distinct Bauhaus-style (an influential trend in modern architecture) complex and is one of the city's cultural markers. It contains more than 150 works of art and a large number of paintings donated by Gu Yuan, an outstanding Chinese artist.
