The 2nd China International Circus Festival

The China International Circus Festival is a state-approved international competition and cultural exchange. It is co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and the Guangdong People's Government, and co-organized by Zhuhai's Municipal People's Government and Guangdong Chimelong Group. The 2nd Festival will be held from November 1st to 12th, 2015 at Hengqin Chimelong International Circus City in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province.

By adhering strictly to the principles of “government-led, enterprise-run, marketing operation and benefiting the people” , and with an aim to launch a high-standard international circus event and create a competing stage for various acts with authoritative awards, we are determined to organize a joyous and successful international event to promote circus arts through international exchanges. It will enrich the cultural life of the people of Zhuhai and boost socio-economic development.

The festival’s organizing committee is chaired by Luo Shugang, Minister of Culture, and Zhu Xiaodan, Governor of Guangdong Province. Under the Organizing Committee, the Executive Committee is responsible for the implementation, organization and management of the Festival, and the judging panel is responsible for judging the competition. Bian Faji, the Chairman of the judging panel, is a famous acrobat,  Vice-Chairman of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Chairman of the China Acrobats Association. Other members of the judging panel include circus managers and other distinguished authorities. Prizes include two Golden Tiger Awards, three Silver Tiger Awards and four Bronze Tiger Awards.

The festival does not set limits on nationality, gender, or number of performers. Thirty of the world's top troupes from 20 countries will perform, including clowns, acrobatics, magic and others. A number of activities will be held, including international circus and acrobatic competitions, seminars and performances.

With the support and efforts from the circus and acrobatic circles all over the world, we strive to make the 2nd China International Circus Festival a cultural event of international level and world influence.
