Hiking is a great way to get up-close with nature, get fit and discover a little bit more about the Yangzhou's unique charm. The tourism bureau of Guangling district, recently released seven hiking routes covering the city's major historical cultural sites and iconic buildings, providing multiple choices for residents and visitors to enjoy the special summer scenery.

Route 1 --- The Grand Canal (4 km)
Dongguan Ancient Ferry – Taizhou Road (southwards) – Wudaotai Mansion – 1912 Block – Wenfeng Temple
Highlights along the way: Wenfeng Temple, Tongjiang Gate, 1912 Block, Kangshan Cultural Park, Puhaddin Tomb, Dongguan Ancient Ferry
Walking alongside the Grand Canal can really turn back the time to catch a glimpse of China's ancient dynasties. The four-kilometer route weaves its way through history, revealing memories of times gone by. Along this route the pace of life really slows down. Read a book, have a cup of tea, or wander across the bridges to soak in the reminiscent atmosphere.
