6th Golden Wutong Festival kicks off

The 6th Golden Wutong Festival of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) opened on Nov 29 with a vibrant ceremony that included diverse cultural performances by international students from the School of International Education, members of the student arts troupe, children from the XJTU-affiliated kindergarten, and teachers from the faculty dance association.
Awards were presented for outstanding projects in the "Respect for Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture" category and for the 5th Campus Cultural and Creative Competition winners. Gold, silver, and bronze prizes and awards for Best Creativity and Most Popular were also announced.
The festival will run from Nov 29 to Dec 5 and feature six check-in points, nine themed landscapes, nine exhibitions, and 18 activities. The events cover various topics, including sharing university history stories, intangible cultural heritage experiences, popular science in academic disciplines, exhibitions of aesthetic education achievements, public welfare concerts, and themed markets.
Throughout the festival, the university will also open its doors to the public on weekends. Residents can make reservations to enjoy the beautiful campus and experience XJTU's unique charm.
