Since the start of summer, a variety of tours such as flower tours, folk tours, desert tours, research tours and camping tours have become popular in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, and preferential policies to attract tourists to visit Xinjiang have been introduced, with cultural tourism vouchers being issued to stimulate the consumption potential of the cultural tourism market. From Nalati to the ancient city of Kashgar, from the Tianshan Mountains and Sayram Lake to the Taklimakan Rally, Xinjiang is presented to the world with its unique natural scenery and rich cultural customs from north to south.

In 2023, tourism in Xinjiang showed a trend of rapid growth. According to the comprehensive calculations of big data statistics platforms and sampling surveys: from January to April 2023, Xinjiang received more than 5 million tourists, an increase of 29.56 percent year on year, while revenue from tourism reached 42.64 billion yuan ($5.95 billion), a year-on-year increase of 60.59 percent.
