Yumin county of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region is known as "the garden at the Eurasian heart".
The flowers in Turjialiao steppe form a delightful contrast with the snowy mountains in the distance. They blossom from April and last for more than 120 days. Fragrant flowers, tall trees and green grass in Tarst Scenic Area make this site a good option for an outing.
This year, Yumin county has attracted more than 294,000 tourists and its tourism revenue has reached 190 million yuan ($27 million).

Yang Caixia, director of the culture, sports, radio, television and tourism administration in Yumin county, said this year's Yumin flower festival, which began on Saturday, focuses on ecotourism and aims to go deep into mountain flower culture.
"The county will promote tourism industry development by providing more cultural tourism products and lengthening the tourism period," Yang said.
