Better practices boost Xinjiang farm productivity

"The local government would dispatch technicians to the field to instruct us how to water and spray insecticide in high temperatures," said Feng Rugang, a farmer from Qitai county in Changji Hui autonomous prefecture.
Li Jianjiang, a researcher at the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, said a number of favorable policies have helped farmers overcome the negative effects of the pandemic and drought this year.
