“I have a warm family, in there live the people who keep the light on for me when I get back from work late. Sometimes happiness is that simple,” says Balati, who works as a taxi driver in the city of Artux, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. He used to be financially dependent on his parents back at their village. He got his taxiing job with the help of a government work team stationed in his village.
