Southwest China's Xizang autonomous region has seen steady economic growth, with its regional gross domestic product (GDP) projected to surpass 300 billion yuan ($42 billion) this year.
To mark the 60th anniversary of the Xizang autonomous region, a public service video will air from Aug 2 to Sept 1, highlighting the region's economic and social progress in recent years.
Lhasa, the capital of the Xizang autonomous region, has been recognized as an International Wetland City, a title granted under the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, Xizang Daily reported.
