Four new national level wildlife observation stations have been approved in the Tibet autonomous region this year by the Ministry of Science and Technology, local media reported recently.
The central authorities will continue to support the Tibet autonomous region in expanding opening-up and foreign cooperation, and will assist the region in deepening Belt and Road cooperation with neighboring countries, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Wednesday.
The Tibet autonomous region has distributed free nutrition packages to its 89,000 children between 6 and 36 months old, a move to improve nutrition in impoverished families, local media reported.
"Tibetan women take part in work in the political, economic and cultural fields, and their exemplary achievements can be seen in all walks of life," said Penpa Lhamo, a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee and head of the South Asia Institute of the Tibetan Academy of Social Sciences.
