Jizhou to facilitate Tianjin’s Ten Actions

On Oct 24, the press conference on implementing the "Three Integrations" and promoting the "Ten Actions" in Jizhou district, Tianjin was held.

He Yinong, secretary of the CPC Jizhou District Committee, introduced the measures taken by the Jizhou and the corresponding accomplishments.

He highlighted that Jizhou district has adhered to the goal of ecological priority and green development, promoted integrated urban-rural development, and seized the opportunities of coordinated development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

In terms of urban-rural development, Jizhou has focused on cultivating the advantageous industry of rural tourism. Five towns have been recognized as key rural tourism destinations nationwide, and 18 villages have been recognized as China rural tourism model villages.

Additionally, Jizhou strives to promote local agricultural products to “go out”. A total of 32 green food products have been certified in the district, including six products with geographical indications, 25 "Tianjin boutique agricultural products”, and two “national famous, unique and new agricultural products”. Up to now, the sales of agricultural products entering Beijing have exceeded 900 million yuan ($123 million), with a year-on-year increase of 20%.

Furthermore, to facilitate local green transformation, Jizhou has been building green and low-carbon zones to lead the high-end, greening, and intelligentization of characteristic industries.

To meet the market of Beijing-Tianjin area, the local government has also promoted the consumption services of cultural tourism, revolutionary tourism, food tourism, agricultural tourism, sports tourism, educational tourism, and health tourism, injecting new vitality to the economic development of the region. In the first three quarters of this year, there were 17.8 million tourist arrivals, generating a revenue of 15.8 billion yuan, an increase of 67.2% compared to 2019.

Next, Jizhou district will focus on planning winter ice and snow tourism and creating boutique travel routes to offer tourists a feast of winter cultural and tourism experiences.
