With its favorable location near the Yuqiao reservoir and its advantageous soil, 70% of the villages in Chutouling town choose to plant mushrooms as their main industry, and the numerous varieties are mainly sold to Beijing and Tianjin. In 2022, the output value of edible fungi in the town was nearly 400 million yuan (about $58 miilion).

With increasing demand for high-end mushrooms in the market, this year, the town has expanded the cultivation of morel and Bailing mushroom, cultivating an area of 300 mu.

To expand the scale of the market, Chutouling town has also supported specialized enterprises in turning mushrooms into dry products, and has built a national sales platform, bringing the agricultural products to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen and Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, Jizhou district plans to invest about 43 million yuan in the construction of characteristic rural style buildings in Chutouling town. Relying on its natural resources, such as the Yuqiao reservoir, Longfeng Mountain and ancient villages, the town will develop its rural tourism industry, and further promote the integration of its primary, secondary and tertiary industries.
