At present, it is migration season for migratory birds. The unique ecological environment of Jizhou district makes it an important stopover for these birds. The Forestry Bureau of Jizhou has taken multiple measures to enhance the protection of migratory birds and ensure their safety throughout autumn and winter.
The Forestry Bureau of Jizhou has selected 25 people as part of a specialized team to strengthen the patrol density of migration stopover sites of birds in the area, so as to provide a safe living environment for them.

Wild animal protection billboards and voice prompt systems have also been set up in key areas of the region to expand the publicity and impact of wild animal protection, improve residents' awareness of wild animal protection, warn illegal hunters, and conduct wild animal data collection. Through 87 sites of wild animal protection monitoring systems, staff are able to find abnormal conditions swiftly, so as to ensure the safety of migratory birds throughout the migration season.
At present, the total number of birds species in the region has reached 335, among which are the great bustard, oriental white stork and black stork, which are first level national key protected wild animals, as well as swans, grey cranes, mandarin ducks, kestrels and wild geese.
