In November 2019, the construction and protection plan of the Great Wall National Cultural Park (Tianjin section) was launched. As an important section of the Ming Great Wall in Tianjin, the Huangyaguan Great Wall has attracted much attention, and became a priority of the Great Wall archaeological project.

The Longfengling ancient Great Wall section, which is part of the Huangyaguan Great Wall, is 869.04 meters long. It was built in the Yongle period (1402-24) of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and was constructed on the precipice of the mountains, with many cliffs on both sides. It is the first line of defense of the Huangyaguan Great Wall.

Tianjin Huangyaguan Great Wall Scenic Area Management and Service Center and the Jizhou Tourism Culture Group have taken measures to strengthen the protection and management of the ancient Great Wall. They actively promote the construction of the Great Wall National Cultural Park (Tianjin section), and strengthen the patrol of the cultural relics and the surrounding environment. Jizhou has invested 3.17 million yuan (about $445,000) to carry out the preliminary survey and archaeological exploration of the Longfengling Great Wall protection project.

The Great Wall embodies the wisdom of the ancients, and it is a miracle in the history of world architecture and a spiritual symbol of China. The Great Wall, as the core of the scenic spots, demonstrates the idea that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.
