Since the team of Tianjin Rail Transit Group (TRTG) that specializes in rural vitalization settled in Xiqiaotou village and Weiliangzhuang village, Houjiaying town, Jizhou district, it has fully implemented the requirements for rural revitalization, focused on the village's urgent needs, and helped improve the local economic development.
TRTG has been supporting the development of economically weak villages. A major task is to promote the overall revitalization of Tianjin's rural areas and realize the common prosperity of farmers. From 2021 to 2024, it plans to invest about 5 million yuan (about $700,000 yuan), to promote industrial and livelihood assistance. It plans to improve the village environment, infrastructure, and increase farmers' income.
The team has invested 680,000 yuan to dig a deep-water rock well for two villages, and replace aging water pipes to improve the quality of drinking water. About 50,000 yuan was invested to lay rainwater pipes to solve the travel problems during rainy and snowy days. A supporting fund of 1.6 million yuan was invested to build leisure places and sports facilities for the residents.
