Forest bureau supports rural construction in Jizhou

Teams from the Forest Bureau in Jizhou district specializing in rural construction have been focused on solving the problems of villagers and supporting the development of rural areas.

Based on the local conditions of the villages in rural areas of Jizhou, the team has formulated a three-year plan, paid attention to the layout of industrial development, and utilized superior resources to innovate and develop local characteristic industries. The team members have closely followed the market orientation, highlighted sustainable development, so as to achieve the integration of economic, social and ecological benefits. In addition to encouraging the local people to participate in the work of rural vitalization, the team has applied the professional advantages of forestry and organized special training on forestry pests, in order to effectively protect the forest resources of the villages, and adhere to the development principal of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets".

Moreover, the team has devoted itself to the improvement of the local environment. Focusing on travel difficulties, the team has implemented road projects, laying 8,000 square meters of main roads in Niugezhuang village, Mashengqiao town, and 550 meters of field roads in Tangzhuang village and Xiaozhuang village, Chuanfangyu town, to solve a problem that villagers have long complained about. It has also built squares in Xinglong village and Niugezhuang village, and equipped them with fitness equipment, which has greatly enriched the cultural and entertaining activities of the region.

Furthermore, the team aims to develop local industries to help villagers increase their income. Through applying multiple media platforms, it has broadened channels for selling local agricultural products, optimized the business environment in various ways, attracted investment from 6 enterprises, and re-opened 13 businesses.

The Forestry Bureau has promoted the work of poverty eradication, and the villagers' sense of security and happiness has been consistently improved. Moving forward, the bureau will further increase assistance funds and apply new forms of assistance.
