Tianjin holds press conference on Jizhou’s rural vitalization

On Oct 19, the Tianjin municipal people's government information office held a press conference to introduce local rural vitalization led by characteristic industries. During the conference, Wang Guishan, deputy head of Jizhou district, demonstrated the development of various industries and the outstanding achievements made in the process of promoting rural vitalization strategies.

According to Wang's introduction, Jizhou has always given priority to and promoted the implementation of key projects. Under the promotion of the special program for rural revitalization, Jizhou has continued to seek funds and policy support for its cultural and tourism industries, featured agriculture and other projects. Among these projects, Xiaochuanfangyu village's exhibition hall, folk custom hall, Chengjiazhuang village's old street project, and Longfusi village's project for upgrading and reconstruction have been steadily put forward. The road to rural revitalization has been firmly guaranteed.

Moreover, Jizhou has firmly grasped the development direction of agriculture, built a new brand of high-end agricultural products and driven the development of its green organic agriculture industry. Dongerying town has established the "selenium agricultural cooperative", and a selenium-rich agricultural product demonstration base with an area of 100 mu has been built. Products, such as selenium-rich flour, selenium-rich sweet potatoes, and selenium-rich eggs, have been widely praised by the market.

Jizhou has also promoted the comprehensive development of its housing reform, which covers 876 administrative villages in the district. Tuanshanzi village in Xiaying town has built 144 resettlement houses with an area of 20,000 square meters, by managing vacant land in the village for land remediation; Fumin village, Yangjinzhuang town, has developed cultural tourism and other industrial projects through land transfer and cooperation with third-party companies, realizing a win-win situation for investment companies, farmers and village collectives.

In addition to constantly increasing the income framework of local famers, Jizhou district has also implemented vocational training projects, which supported the employment of 3,125 farmers. The district has granted 67 million yuan (about $9 million) in agricultural subsidies, benefiting 62,508 households.
