Jizhou promotes the upgrading of rural tourism

Jizhou has adhered to the development concept of making the ecological environment and green sustainable development a priority, given full play to the advantages of its geographical location and tourism resources, so as to accelerate the innovation of rural tourism, product upgrading and service optimization.

Since the beginning of this year, Jizhou has taken rural tourism as an important support to rural vitalization, exploring the new mode to develop the local tourism industry. The government has encouraged residents living in rural areas to invest in vacant houses, and has explored organizational forms, such as "company + farmer", "cooperative + farmer", "company + collective economic organization + farmer". The villages in Guanzhuang town, Xiaying town and Luozhuangzi town have already attracted enterprises to invest, which has injected impetus to the high-quality development of rural tourism.

Additionally, through the in-depth exploration of calligraphy and painting culture, folk culture, revolutionary culture, catering culture, and intangible cultural heritage, Jizhou has built themed cultural tourism villages and promoted the integration of tourism, shopping, entertainment and other related industries.

Nowadays, the tourism industry in Jizhou district has expanded to 15 towns, over 100 villages and 2,300 bed-and-breakfast sites, which has allow 60,000 farmers to find further employment opportunities. Jizhou has also established 12 national rural tourism demonstration sites, China's beautiful countryside and China's most beautiful leisure villages, 18 model villages for rural tourism in China, and 14 key villages for rural tourism in China.

The government will continue to encourage the construction of rural themed hotels, luxury holiday camping bases and other projects, so as to further expand the influence of local rural tourism brands.
