The series report on Jizhou's extraordinary decade shows local developments, as well as the outstanding achievements made over the past ten years.
In the last decade, Jizhou has been focusing on promoting the continuous increase of its economy and optimizing its industrial structure.
The total output value of each year between 2012 and 2022 has increased. The per-capita income in Jizhou has risen from 17,705 yuan (about $2,500) to 32,008 yuan, which indicates an improvement in local people’s living standards. Moreover, the scale of employment has continued to expand. From 2012 to 2022 (the end of July), 119,638 people were employed in the region.

Furthermore, the development of agriculture, forestry, stock farming and fisheries has been stable, the pace of industrial restructuring has accelerated, and the service industry has achieved rapid development. The government has optimized the business environment so as to support stable social and economic development.
The primary industry has continued to grow steadily. With its driving capacity having been enhanced, agricultural cooperatives have been playing an important role in promoting the employment and income of farmers, and injecting a new impetus into agricultural and rural development. From 2012 to 2021, the output value of grain per mu increased from 323.69 kilograms to 450.84 kilograms; the total output of agriculture increased from 5.56 billion yuan to 9.01 billion yuan; the added value of the primary industry rose from 1.43 billion yuan to 4.04 billion yuan.
The quality and safety of agricultural products have been effectively guaranteed. Since 2012, more than 720,000 batches of national, municipal and district level edible agricultural products have been tested, and more than 16 million animals have been quarantined. Jizhou passed the municipal acceptance of the "agricultural product quality safety zone" in first place.

Jizhou has also accelerated the adjustment of its secondary industrial structure. In June, 2017, the Tianjin Shangcang Industrial Park and Tianjin Specialized Vehicle Industrial Park were merged, and are now operated by the Jizhou Economic Development Zone. It has played a crucial role in promoting employment and driving high-quality economic development in Jizhou. Cultivating specialized and new "small giant enterprises", the government has also given play to the role of science and technology leading enterprises.

Additionally, the tourism service consumption of Jizhou has maintained rapid growth. The service industry has been upgrading with high quality and diversified developments.
