Lucid waters and lush mountains are as valuable as mountains of gold and silver. Over the past ten years, Jizhou has been working on its ecological protection and restoration, vigorously promoting local green development and strengthening pollution prevention. The regional advantages of the ecological environment have also been further consolidated.

From 2018 to 2020, in terms of air quality, Jizhou ranked No.1 for the three consecutive years in Tianjin. In 2021, the average annual concentration of PM2.5 in the whole region was 36 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 10%, and days with excellent air quality accounted for 76.1% of the total, an increase of 11 days, which has contributed to Jizhou ranking first in two national assessment indicators in Tianjin.

Jizhou has also insisted on the integration of local culture and tourism resources. The tourism economy has been growing rapidly, and the industry system has been completed. Over the past ten years, the number of Grade A scenic spots has increased from 7 to 15. In 2017, Jizhou was listed as part of the second batch of 21 national tourism reform and innovation pilot areas; in 2019, it became the first national tourism demonstration area in Tianjin to pass the inspection; in 2021, Xiaying town and Guanzhuang town of Jizhou were listed as national key countryside tourism spots; in 2021, Jizhou was identified as part of the second batch of national culture and tourism consumption pilot cities.
