Petroleum and chemical industry

Binhai New Area will increase its exploration and reserves of oil and gas and aims to exploit 40 million tons of oil with reserve capacity of 20 million tons on a yearly basis.

Equipment manufacturing

Binhai New Area will develop large petroleum and petrochemical equipment, rail transportation equipment, equipment for energy saving and environmental protection and comprehensive utilization of resources, shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment, large engineering machinery, complete sets of wind power equipment, hydropower equipment, nuclear power equipment, ultra-high voltage transmission and port machinery.

New energy and new material industry

Binhai New Area will focus on the manufacturing of wind power, environmental friendly battery, solar photovoltaic and LED products.

Light industry and textile industry

Binhai New Area will expand the types of raw materials for oil processing, encourage the development of palm oil and olive oil products based on the processing of soybean oil, and appropriately develop other small varieties of oils such as rapeseed oil.

Financial Industry

Binhai New Area deepens the reform of the investment and financing system, expands the direct financing scale through multiple channels and establishes piloting industrial investment funds and renminbi funds that meet the requirements of industrial development.

Aviation and Aerospace

Binhai New Area focuses on the development of large aircrafts, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, new-generation rockets, satellites and space stations to build a world-class aerospace industry base.
