Yang Wanming attends international judicial conferences in Brazil, Cuba

From May 12 to 19, Yang Wanming, vice-president of the Supreme People's Court of China, led a delegation to attend the Summit of Heads of Supreme Courts and Constitutional Courts of G20 Members (the J20) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as well as the 11th International Meeting of Justice and Law held in Havana, Cuba. 

Yang delivered a keynote speech on "judicial institutions promoting citizenship and social inclusion" at the J20 Summit, introducing Chinese courts' efforts in implementing the Constitution and the laws and protecting citizen's rights and interests through case adjudication. He engaged in friendly exchanges with the heads of delegations from participating countries on the sidelines of the J20 Summit, exchanging views on further enhancing bilateral judicial exchanges and cooperation, and reaching preliminary consensus. 

During their visit to Cuba, Yang and his delegation were received by President of the Supreme People's Court of Cuba Rubén Remigio Ferro. Yang was invited to deliver a speech on "new challenges in judicial work" at the 11th International Meeting of Justice and Law. The delegation also visited the Provincial Court of Havana and the Fidel Castro Center.
