A closing ceremony of the 2023 training programme for Laotian judges, which was hosted by the National Judges College (NJC) of China, was held on Oct 31. Liu Guixiang, standing member of the Supreme People's Court (SPC)'s adjudication committee (vice-minister level), attended and addressed the event.

Liu extended congratulations on the success of the programme, and pointed out that China and Laos are friendly socialist neighbors with a shared future. He raised his hope that the two sides will deepen legal and judicial exchanges in serving the Belt and Road cooperation, and will continue to promote bilateral cooperation in the judicial field.

Noting that the NJC has hosted the programme for Laotian judges for three consecutive years, Liu expressed his hope that the top courts of the two countries will join hands and strive to build a platform for judicial communication and cooperation that is innovative, inclusive and sustainable.
