SPC releases typical cases of judicial services facilitating revitalization of NE China
The Supreme People's Court (SPC) recently made public 10 typical cases, as part of the country's judicial efforts to fully serve the revitalization of Northeast China in the new era.
The cases included civil, administrative and criminal cases concerning the protection of people's legitimate rights and interests, optimizing the business environment, maintaining social and economic order, and safeguarding ecological and environmental resources.
Some of the cases reflected the resolution of courts in maintaining market operation and order, and fostering a sound law-based business environment. In the trial of these cases, the courts protected the legitimate rights and interests of multiple market entities in an all-round, legal and fair way, and effectively maintained the law-based business environment of the region.
Some cases demonstrated courts’ efforts to adhere to judicial activism and empower the high-quality growth of the private economy and micro and small enterprises.
As for those cases related to the most pressing difficulties of immediate concern to the public, a people-oriented principle was a highlight. The courts focused on the urgent problems of people and strived to improve their trial of cases and ensure people’s livelihood through judicial services.
In the typical environmental cases of the list, pluralistic co-governance was adhered to in building a mechanism that pooled joint resources. Since good ecology and a sound environment are valuable resources for the economic and social development of the region, their protection and restoration is the core goal of judicial adjudication in such cases.
Courts will fully implement the nation’s Northeast China revitalization strategy and better fulfill their duties to support the high-quality growth of the region.
