SPC releases guiding cases serving Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei development

On Oct 9, the Supreme People's Court (SPC) released six guiding cases on serving the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. 

In recent years, people's courts at all levels have fully tapped the judiciary in safeguarding the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, which is a major national strategy of the country. 

Zhang Jun, president of the SPC, stressed the importance of conscientiously shouldering the responsibility and mission to serve and guarantee the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. Efforts should be directed towards the key tasks in the region's coordinated development, conducting in-depth and comprehensive judiciary, and continuously enhancing the judicial capabilities and services to safeguard the coordinated development of the region. 

This batch of cases, all of which occurred within the region, with subject matters including lease contract, enforcement of right of recourse, noise pollution liability and theft, aims to better guide courts at all levels in handling related cases, in a bid to provided stronger judicial guarantee for the development of the region.
