Liu Guixiang meets with legal delegation from Kenya

Liu Guixiang, permanent member of the Supreme People's Court (SPC)'s judicial committee (vice-minister level), met with a delegation from the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of Kenya on June 5. The delegation was headed by Rachael Kaki Nyamai, member of the National Assembly of Kenya.

Liu welcomed the delegation and gave a brief introduction of China's rule-of-law development and courts' work. He said that China and Kenya enjoy a long tradition of friendship and have maintained friendly exchanges in judicial work, yielding fruitful results in judicial cooperation. This year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries, and China's SPC is ready to work with its Kenyan counterpart to further exchanges at all levels, and promote the continuous development of the Belt and Road cooperation, he said.

Nyamai extended her appreciation for the meeting and pledged to jointly promote judicial exchanges and cooperation in order to benefit the people of both countries.
