Top court releases more judicial reform cases

The Supreme People's Court (SPC) recently released the 12th batch of selected cases of judicial reform. 

These cases were selected from outstanding practices of 11 courts nationwide in implementing the  Civil Procedure Law, which was amended in 2021. 

Among the courts were Chaoyang District People's Court in Beijing, Hebei District People's Court in Tianjin, Wuxi Intermediate People's Court in Jiangsu, Fenghua District People's Court in Ningbo, Zhejiang, the Intermediate People's Court of Urumqi, the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. 

The collection of typical cases was a highlight of the SPC's efforts to deepen judicial reform. It aims to find and collect all characteristic experience of courts in advancing judicial reform, and summarize typical practices that are replicable and can be promoted in other courts. 

The selected cases have focused on courts' practices in improving judicial efficiency and quality, such as building a multi-level litigation procedure system, optimizing the judicial confirmation system and online litigation mechanism, and strengthening trial supervision and management. 

The SPC has released 190 judicial reform cases in 12 batches since 2017.
