Deputy head of SPC meets top US judicial and economic officials

The deputy head of China's top court met with a delegation led by Makan Delrahim, US Assistant Attorney General for the Antitrust Division, and Maureen Ohlhausen, Chairman of the US Federal Trade Commission, on Jan 31 in Beijing.

Tao Kaiyuan, vice-president of China's Supreme People's Court (SPC) welcomed the delegation and introduced the role and function of Chinese courts in implementing the antitrust laws.

She said the SPC is willing to work with the US Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission for promotion of judicial exchanges and cooperation so as to boost development of the rule of law.

Delrahim and Ohlhausen expressed their gratitude to Tao, saying that they also hope to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China for the promotion of the Sino-US relationship.
