A delegation of Beijing’s State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision and Administration Office (SOCASAO) visited the government of Almaty Kazakhstan and held a seminar on economic and trade cooperation with the Almaty Bureau of Culture on June 19. 

SOCASAO introduced Beijing’s cultural and creative industry and key cultural and creative enterprises and projects such as Beijing cultural and Investment Development Co Ltd. 

The Kazakhstan side indicated that SOCASAO’s promotion of Beijing’s cultural and creative industry is a point of reference for the Almaty Bureau of Culture and expressed hope that the two sides will cooperate in the cultural and creative industry by means of the Belt and Road Initiative strategy. 

During the visit to Kazakhstan, SOCASAO was invited to attend Beijing Week at Expo 2017 Astana. It also established relationships with international cultural organizations and enterprises for expanding cooperation channels in foreign culture and trade and promoting internationalization of cultural and creative enterprises in Beijing.
