2017 Milan Design Week Beijing cultural and creative industry promotion show on the spot[Photo/bjwzb.gov.cn]

A China Day was held at the 2017 Milan Design Week, a cultural and creative industry promotional show, in Milan on April 6. 

The China Day activities were under the initiative of the State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision and Administration Office (SOCASAO) and the Milan-based Sino-Europe Innovation Center. 

The representative of SOCASAO delivered a keynote speech on weaving a new network of cultural and creative industrial cities jointly, noting that Beijing will continue to take part in construction of a world-wide design network. 

Beijing sees the Belt and Road Initiative and the 2022 Winter Olympic Games as opportunities to give impetus to cultural and creative industries through financial activity, according to SOCASAO. 

During Milan Design Week Beijing-based Sinovation Ventures and the Sino-Europe Innovation Center signed a strategic cooperation agreement to exchange resources and promote world-leading creative cultural industries. 

Milan Design Week, organized by local governments, media, enterprises and institutions, has developed into a well-attended international affair.
