Beijing and Amsterdam have vowed to enhance cultural creative industry cooperation.
Sabine Gimbrère, Director of the International Office of Amsterdam, and officials from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in China paid a visit to Beijing’s State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision and Administration Office (SOCASAO) on Sept 28.
The group also visited the Beijing Cultural Creative Industry Exhibition Center and Beijing Cultural Innovation Park.
A representative from the International Affairs Division of SOCASAO briefly introduced the office's responsibilities, the development of Beijing's cultural creative industries, and the policies and measures in promoting them.
Sabine said that the policies and practice of Beijing's efforts in supporting the development of cultural creative enterprises were worth learning. She expressed her desire to strengthen connections and increase exchanges with SOCASAO, and have practical cooperation in this sector between the two cities.
Sabine also hoped that a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to enhance exchange and cooperation between Beijing and Amsterdam in cultural creative industry would be signed during the mayor of Amsterdam’s visit to Beijing next year.
