SOCASAO promotes Beijing’s cultural creative industry in Denmark
A delegation from the Beijing State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision and Administration Office (SOCASAO) and the Beijing Cultural Investment and Development Group Co Ltd attended a Chinese Cultural Festival themed "Silk Road Fairytales" in Holbaek, Denmark on Sept 10.
The event featured exhibitions, art performances and a series of cultural experience activities. Folk art performances, food, kite-making, Chinese tea culture displays, martial arts demonstrations, opening and closing ceremony and other activities featuring Chinese traditional culture were highlighted during the festival. The event also dramatized the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen's fairytales, and presented music by an ensemble of Chinese and Danish instruments.
The SOCASAO delegation visited the cultural industry district of Holbaek and held a symposium with the Holbaek government on the promotion of Beijing's cultural creative industry and major projects, including possible links between Beijing’s “World Tour of Chinese Culture Promotion” and the “Chinese Cultural Festival” in Denmark.
Representatives from SOCASAO and the Danish authorities discussed plans for the "China-Denmark City and Regional Cooperation Forum" to be held by the end of this year in Beijing.
The Holbaek government expressed great interest in cooperating with China on cultural creative industries. They also pledged to work with SOCASAO, expand China-Denmark cultural trade and boost the development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Dong Dianyi, deputy executive director general of SOCASAO, led the Chinese delegation.
Chinese Ambassador to Denmark Liu Biwei also attended the cultural festival and addressed the opening ceremony.
