The 2024-2025 annual final of Qingchuan's 3v3 "Baba" Basketball Tournament took place at the county's National Fitness Center on the evening of Sept 28.

Guangyuan Haoqun Lianmeng secured the championship title and claimed the 500,000 yuan ($69,800) grand prize.

The decisive showdown between Guangyuan Haoqun Lianmeng and Liulingzui kicked off at 9:11 pm. In the first game of the best-of-three series, Haoqun Lianmeng – dressed in white jerseys – dominated the match and won to take a 1-0 lead.

Liulingzui put up a strong fight in the second game, but after a brief tactical adjustment, Haoqun Lianmeng regained control and won the game, clinching the championship.

Post-match celebrations erupted on the court, with the team's players and their agent Wang Xi embracing in excitement.

"I'm so happy!" Wang told reporters. This marked his second trip to Qingchuan for the annual final – after finishing fourth last year, his team returned stronger to claim the top honor.

The 14-day annual championship tournament concluded successfully. Organizers announced that the 2025-2026 edition of Qingchuan's 3v3 "Baba" Basketball Tournament will kick off in October.
